How is the dues amount decided from year to year?
The annual membership dues amount is made up of three different amounts: local dues (SCCAR), state dues (MAR), and national dues (NAR). Each of those amounts is determined by that level's Board of Directors during the budgeting process. The local dues amount has not been raised since 2001.

How do you get to be a HUD-approved REALTOR®?
To be approved by HUD to sell their properties, a REALTOR® must fill out some paperwork for HUD and meet their qualifications. Please contact the local office of HUD for more information.

Where can I find out the statistic for percentage of homes sold at an open house?
There are no statistics for this. Open Houses are historically a great way to expose a listing to potential buyers. The more people that come through a property, the quicker it will sell.

Yes, on our website you can click on the For Buyers & Sellers button, then on Find a REALTOR or Member Directory. Please note that this Directory only lists REALTOR members of the St. Charles County Association.

Do all agents in the St. Charles area have to be a member of the Association?
No, real estate agents do not have to join a local Association of REALTORS® if they do not want to. However, an agent must join an Association if he or she wants access to the MLS and/or Supra key. Also, a real estate agent is not a REALTOR unless he or she joins an Association of REALTORS.
