The 30 year fixed-rate mortgage moved lower for the third consecutive week and set a new low for the year, Freddie Mac reports. For the week ending June 1st, the 30 year mortgage averaged 3.94 percent and the 15 year fixed-rate averaged 3.19 percent. Both rates dropped an average 0.5 point over a week ago.
