Remodeling Zips Ahead of Pre-Crisis Levels

In another sign of returning consumer confidence, a national survey shows that residential remodeling has bounced back from the housing bust and has now surpassed its pre-crisis level!  The Urban Economics Lab Index, shows that this often overlooked area has grown to an estimated $300 billion a year.  This is about the same size as the $340 billion value of residential construction in 2014.
