Sam Licklider’s Legislative Update – 4/5/15

Last week I overlooked SB 12, modifies provisions relating to agriculture.  That is important because it also contains the corrections to the provisions relating to sale of alien land and it passed both the Senate and House.  The original bill lowered the percentage of agricultural land allowed to be owned by non-resident aliens to ½ of 1 percent.  The bill Senate Committee amended the bill and returned the percentage of agricultural land owned by non-resident aliens to 1 percent.
