A recent survey by the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) shows that the median sales volume for its members rose 12 percent to $1.9 million in 2016, compared to $1.8 million in 2016. The typical agent completed 12 transactions in 2016, which is the highest recorded since 2014. The median income of members surveyed rose to $42,500 in 2016, compared to $39,200 a year ago. The median age of REALTORS remained the same at 53 years old. 30 percent of REALTORS are over 60 years of age and 4 percent of REALTORS are under 30 years of age.
